DA is already 14 years old?  Wow.  I remember once seeing a post somewhere, showing some the old DA interfaces from all the way back to the very beginning, when the website barely started...and how the community grew!  It truly has been amazing.  I've only been on the site for 3 years, but I'm always glad that that I had become part of this great community.  I think it was DA that made me the artist that I am now, or at least I owe it most of my improvement over the past two years or so (you can check out my older submissions and compare them to the more recent ones).  I am a self-taught painter, so I get all of my skills and inspirations looking at other people's work.  DA is the perfect classroom for me.  Now, as for some of my great teachers (they may never know it):

_{I'm not okay.  For anyone who might've wondered why I've been silent for quite a while, I've finally decided that I'm not okay.  I don't think I'd been lying to myself; it just took me a while to sort things out.  Honestly I don't know what I'm gonna do now.  I guess I want nothing more than getting away.  Just getting away.  Somewhere far, far away.}

I'm graduating from high school in a week.  Just finished all my classes today and next week will be the exam week.

From a few weeks ago, the school's been holding a bunch of gatherings for seniors, getting us ready to become the new alumni.  Formal dinner parties, special chapel gatherings, signing ceremony... I was kind of surprised (though I shouldn't be) that the school puts so much effort in celebrating our coming graduation.

In fact, I can barely believe it...my senior year passed so fast and last September feels like just a month ago.  Everyone else is like "oh my we're finally getting out of high school" but I'm missing my high school life already.  I hope it's not gonna be as bad as four years ago, when I graduated from middle school.  I had a wonderful last year in middle school and made more friends than ever in that year, and well, it seem like my life just loves repeating itself.  I feel that I only got close to a few friends this year because it usually takes quite a while for me to get close to people, in this case it took me two years, but the parting is once again a week away.  I'm not someone who gets emotional easily, having only cried twice watching movies in my entire life, but I guess I'm... not good at handling graduations.  Some of my friends are juniors, sophomores and even freshmen, and if possible, I'd come back next year to see them graduate.

And the teachers, in a boarding school teachers really become like friends and parents.  I surely will miss them dearly.  Most of them will still be here for a long time and I know they'll be happy to see me whenever I come back to visit.

For my three memorable years in this high school, as a proud member of the Class of 2014.

My artworks.  I only post those I think that deserve to be called art, like paintings that I'd spent many hours on, and the very best of my photography works (a handful out of thousands).  I am no professional painter or photographer, so it would be my responsibility not to post junk.  I keep reminding myself that there is some difference between dA and Facebook.

--> What are the things you wish you could draw better?
Everything. Take it this way: I think I'm still improving.

--> How many hours a day do you spend on DA?
Too many.

--> Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?
Slow.  Occasionally faster, usually really slow but that's a way to avoid typos.

-- > What inspires you?
Other people's works.  You'll never know when it's going to strike a chord. I am a self-taught person.  Looking at artworks is when I get skills and inspirations.

Watercolors, and I have an oil painting project going on.
