Lúthien Tinúviel, from J. R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion.
Finally! My first Tolkien fan art. Last year, I decided to learn watercolor just to do my favorite Tolkien illustration. I made a wish at that time that, ten years later, I hope I can have enough skills to realize my dream. Well, it's barely nine months...seems too easy? Huh... Don't know why I chose Lúthien to be my guinea pig (doesn't seem like a smart choice), but I really hope I've done her justice here.
Oh, my God! I am SO in love with these vivid colors you used! Very spot-on. I love how hard you've worked on Luthien Tinuviel. She is outstanding! What types of art tools did you use? Making fluid, watercolor, and ink?
Thank you so much! I mostly used regular watercolors with a little bit of ink (the most saturated parts), but no masking fluid. I tend to not use masking media, so I painted around everything. You can check out this:[link] which was also done without any masking fluid.
